Volunteer Assistant Coach
Tyler Faulkner begins his first season as the men’s tennis volunteer assistant at the University of Alabama. Faulkner comes to the Capstone after serving as a
graduate assistant at Berry College.
Prior to being named graduate assistant at Berry, Faulkner spent one year as the Assistant Coach at Colby College in Waterville, Maine. At Colby College, Faulkner helped the White Mules earn their first Division III national ranking.
Faulkner started his college tennis career at Georgia Perimeter College, where he earned a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) National Championship his freshman season. At Georgia Perimeter, Faulkner earned three All-American honors in singles and doubles.
Faulkner transferred to Berry College and was a two-time NAIA All-American in doubles and never dropped below a top 10 national ranking. The former doubles standout led the Vikings to the NAIA National Tournament twice in his tenure, advancing to the quarterfinals his junior season.
Faulkner graduated with a degree in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations from Berry in 2005 and is currently pursuing a degree in Sport Management at the University of Alabama.
Faulkner is married to the former Autumn Hill of Fairburn, Ga.
