
2007 Signees Make Mark in High School Top-25

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. ?? The four high school seniors who will be joining the University of Alabama softball team in the fall of 2007 are finishing off their high school careers in fine fashion on some of the top high school teams in the country.
The first USA Today/NFCA High School Top-25 was released on Thursday and featured Kelsi Dunne’s team. The Port Orange, Fla. native is playing for Spruce Creek High School, the No. 8 team in the country. They have a 24-1 record and recently won the top tournament in the state of Florida, the Kissimmee Klassic.
Whitney Larsen and Catherine Dozier play for Vestavia Hills in Birmingham and have their team receiving votes in the Top-25. Vestavia Hills is currently the top ranked team in the Alabama 6A division with a 34-3 overall record for the season.
Amanda Locke’s North Mesquite High School team is not among the top teams nationally but is one of the top teams in Texas. They are currently 16-5 and leading the district with an 8-0 mark.
