
Alabama Men?s Tennis Duo Ranked No. 27 Nationally

TUSCALOOSA, Ala.- The University of Alabama men's tennis doubles tandem of Dan Buikema and Mathieu Thibaudeau is ranked No. 27 nationally by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) this week. The duo made their debut in the rankings at No. 35 on February 21.
Buikema and Thibaudeau are 18-5 overall, 8-2 in dual matches on the season from the No. 1 slot. The sophomores are 3-3 against ranked opponents, including a win over No. 7 Somdev Devvarman and Treat Huey of Virginia. The pair is on a four match winning streak, including a 2-0 record against SEC opponents.
Alabama has secured the doubles point in all 10 matches this season, with Buikema and Thibaudeau contributing wins in eight of the matches.
The Crimson Tide continues conference action at home this weekend, hosting No. 7 Ole Miss Friday at 2 p.m. and No. 68 Mississippi State Sunday at 1 p.m. Both matches will be held at the UA Varsity courts and admission is free.
