Tracks Teams Set To Host Annual Alabama Relays

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The annual Alabama Relays are off and running at the Sam Bailey Track and Field Complex on the campus of the University of Alabama.
The first day of competition features the women's heptathlon and the men's decathlon which began at 9:30 a.m. with the women's 110m hurdles. Friday's events include the conclusion of the women's heptathlon and the men's decathlon.
Alabama's Daryl Aldridge will be the only competitor competing for the Tide men or women until Saturday's events.
A total of 65 teams will be in town this weekend for the Alabama Relays including six other teams from the Southeastern Confrence (Auburn, Georgia, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.)
Saturday's and Sunday's schedule include the bulk of weekend events with both days beginning at 8:00 a.m.
The Alabama Relays marks the first outdoor competition of the 2007 season for both the Alabama men and women's teams.
