
ESPN to Televise Alabama-Tennessee Softball Series in May

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. ?? The University of Alabama softball team will play Tennessee on national television twice during a three-game series May 5-6 as ESPN and ESPN2 will each carry a game live.
The series will conclude the regular season for the Crimson Tide. The first game of a doubleheader on Saturday, May 5 will be televised by ESPN2 at 1 p.m. ESPN will then air the series finale on Sunday, May 6 at 1 p.m.
The two teams currently sit and No. 1 and No. 2 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Top-25. They have met 33 previous times with Alabama holding a 22-11 advantage in the all-time series. Last year the Tide swept a three-game series with the Lady Vols at home but fell to them in the second game of the SEC tournament.
The Crimson Tide will host Arkansas tomorrow with a doubleheader beginning at 5 p.m. Bama will also play on television this weekend when Fox Sports airs the Tide’s final game at LSU Sunday at 1 p.m. as the SEC Softball Series of the Week. The three-game series will begin on Saturday with a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.
