
Alabama Women's Golfers Set for LSU/Cleveland Classic

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The University of Alabama women’s golf team continues its spring season beginning on Friday, March 16 with a trip to the LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic.
Alabama will be part of a talented 21-team field that includes seven of the nation’s top-25 teams. The field includes No. 5 Auburn, Augusta State, Birmingham Southern, Charleston, No. 1 Duke, Furman, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, Memphis, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, No. 22 North Carolina, North Carolina State, North Carolina - Wilmington, South Carolina, No. 14 Tennessee, No. 7 Vanderbilt, No. 17 Virginia and No. 13 Wake Forest.
The Tide is coming off an eighth place finish at the University of Central Florida Challenge earlier this month. Alabama was led by junior Sarah Sturm, who shot the best 54-hole score at the Challenge for Alabama. She posted a 225 to tie for 15th place in the individual standings.
LSU is hosting the Classic at the University Club in Baton Rouge, La.
Competition at the LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic begins with the first round of play on Friday, March 16.
Round two will take place on Saturday, March 17 with the final round of competition scheduled for Sunday, March 18. Tee time for all three rounds is 8:00 a.m.
