TUSCALOOSA, Ala. ?? The Alabama women’s basketball team showed its appreciation to all the people that are a part of gameday by hosting a social Tuesday evening in Coleman Coliseum. The cheer team, dance team, the Big Al mascots and the pep band were all in attendance.
“This was a time where we could present an opportunity for our players to interact with all the squads that make our game day atmosphere what it is,” head coach Stephany Smith said. “They are such an important part of the game day experience, we wanted to show them how much we appreciate their spirit and support.”
The night started out with a fully catered meal with all the participants assigned to teams. The team members sat together and had to complete a trivia for a prize.
After the trivia and meal, coach Smith thanked all the squads for their support and then all participants headed down to the Coliseum floor for a scavenger hunt. The team that found the most treasures in a timely fashion was awarded a prize.
Alabama will open its exhibition slate against the University of West Alabama on Wednesday, 31. Game time is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at Coleman Coliseum.
