Women's Tennis in First ITA Team Rankings

TUSCALOOSA, Ala.- The Intercollegiate Tennis Association released the first FILA team rankings of the 2006-07 season with Alabama listed 44th.
The Crimson Tide are coming off a successful 2006 season which included its second SEC Western Division championship in the last four years. Alabama advanced to its sixth straight NCAA tournament and ended the year with an 11-12 record.
The Tide will begin the 2007 season at the Virginia Invitational in Charlottesville, Va. Jan. 19-21. They will travel to Lubbock, Texas Jan. 27-28 for the first duel meet action of the year against Oregon and Texas Tech. The first home duel match will be against Colorado Feb. 3 at 5pm.
