Crimson Tide Summer Open Championships to Begin Next Week

TUSCALOOSA -- The University of Alabama tennis program and the Tuscaloosa Tennis Association have joined forces again this year to host the Second Annual Crimson Tide Summer Championships beginning next week at the UA Tennis Complex. The Championships are open to all who wish to compete and will run from Wednesday, May 31 to Sunday, June 4.
Four divisions are available for men's singles and doubles while women's singles and doubles play will be split into two divisions. Mixed doubles and an open wheelchair division are available as well. Each draw is first-match consolation, which guarantees all competitors at least two matches in the tournament.
The Championship's entry form can be found online at www.rolltide.com. The deadline to enter is May 25 and draws with start times will be posted online by May 26. All matches scheduled for Wednesday through Friday will begin after 5 p.m. while play on the weekend will last all day.
