Alabama Gymnastics Ranked Third Nationally

The Alabama Gymnastics team moved up a spot from fourth to third in the national rankings, giving the Southeastern Conference a lock on the top three spots.
Alabama jumped Utah, which fell to No. 6 this week, for the third spot, and stands just behind No. 1 Georgia and No. 2 Florida. Iowa State is fourth and Oklahoma rounds out the top-5. Alabama beat No. 7 LSU last Friday for its 12th win of the season. The Tide's next opponent, Stanford, checks in at No. 8, followed by Michigan at No. 9 and UCLA in 10th.
Alabama is ranked second on the floor exercise, third on the vault, sixth on the uneven bars and 13th on the balance beam.
Senior Ashley Miles remains No. 1 on the vault, and jumped to second this week on the floor exercise. Freshman Brittany Magee is 15th on the vault and floor exercise. Sophomore Terin Humphrey is 11th on the uneven bars.
Alabama returns home for the final two meets of the regular season, competing against Stanford next Friday and closing out the regular season March 17 against Auburn.
