The No. 5 Alabama Gymnastics team puts a cap on its regular and home season Friday night against the No. 14 Auburn Tigers starting at 7:30 p.m.
In addition to being the regular season finale, Alabama will be celebrating Senior Night, as the Coleman Coliseum crowd bids farewell to three-time NCAA Champion Ashley Miles, All-Americans Mari Bayer and Dana Filetti and Scholastic All-Americans Rachael Delahoussaye and Dana Pierce.
The Tide will also be looking to close out the season with a big score, giving the team momentum going into next week's Southeastern Conference Championships.
"We haven't had a great meet yet this season," Alabama head coach Sarah Patterson said. "We've been good, and we've had some meets where we did really well on this event or that one, but we haven't had that meet where we put it all together."
Alabama is 13-1-0 coming into Friday, including a 5-1-0 SEC mark, with its lone loss coming to No. 1 Georgia by 5/100ths of a point. Led by Miles, who is No. 1 in the nation on both events, Alabama is ranked second on the floor exercise and fourth on the vault.
Auburn, led by the all-around duo of Julie Dwyer and Lindsay Puckett, upset No. 8 ranked LSU earlier this season. Dwyer is currently ranked sixth in the all-around while Puckett is 18th.
Tickets for Friday night's meet can be purchased online at http://www.rolltide.com/ or at the Alabama Ticket Office (205.348.2262) located in the lobby of Coleman Coliseum.
