Alabama Swimming and Diving Signs Catalin Cosma
TUSCALOOSA, Ala ??The University of Alabama Swimming and Diving program signed Catalin Cosma to a national letter of intent in the early signing period according to head coach Eric McIlquham. Cosma will wear the crimson and white of Alabama starting with the 2007-08 season.
“I look for Catalin to make a large immediate impact,” McIlquham said. “He excels in a wide range of events and can show up pretty much anywhere in our line up as well as all relays.”
He has led his club team, CSM Pitesti, to the Romanian national club titles since 2001. He holds Romanian Junior and Senior National records.
A native of Arad, Romania, Cosma competes for Gica Deac at CSM Pitesti.
