Tide in 8th Place at Golf Tournament

KAUAI, HAWAII ?? The University of Alabama golf team was in 8^th place after 36 holes played on Wednesday at the Aloha Purdue Collegiate Invitational. The tournament, hosted by Purdue, began Wednesday with two rounds. The final round will be played today (Thanksgiving). It is being held at the par 70 Kiahuna Golf Club in Kauai, Hawaii.

Purdue leads the tournament with a three stroke lead over Texas. The Boilermakers shot 567 Wednesday. Texas is second at 570, followed by Clemson at 572, Michigan at 575, Virginia Tech at 579, Notre Dame at 582, Pepperdine at 584, Alabama at 588 and Rice at 602.
