
Myneni and Kindervater Advance to Doubles Semifinals

ATLANTA, GA. ?? Saketh Myneni and Jordie Kindervater continued their winning ways at the Georgia Tech Fall Invitational with another win on Saturday to advance to the semifinals of the Flight A bracket.
The Crimson Tide duo faced Central Florida's fourth-ranked pair of Sinan Sudas and Norman Alcantara in the second round. Myneni and Kindervater came away with an 8-5 victory to move on the semifinals where they will face top-seeded Jamie Hunt and Ricardo Gonzalez of Georgia who won 8-5 in the quarterfinals.
Alabama's Taylor Striplin was also in action in doubles, playing in the Flight B bracket. He paired with Clemson's Gera Boryachinskiy. They took on Central Florida's Jimmy Roesch and Brock Sakey but fell 8-4.
Myneni advanced to the quarterfinal round of singles on Friday and played his match against Georgia Tech's Luke Rassow-Kantor on Saturday. Myneni got off to a great start with a 6-3 win in the first round. Rassow-Kantor bounced back to even the match, flipping the score around for a 6-3 victory. He would go on to close out the match with a 6-4 win in the third set.
The Alabama men's tennis team will next be in action Oct. 20-23 in Lexington, Ken. when they compete in the ITA Southeast Regionals.
