The Alabama women’s basketball team began workouts this week in preparation for the 2005-06 hoops season.
Due to recent NCAA rule changes, the Crimson Tide players have been able to participate in preseason conditioning sessions with the coaching staff present. These sessions began on Aug. 25th and can be held until Oct. 14th, when official practice is allowed to begin.
The squad and coaches are pictured below in action on the first day of conditioning, held on the Alabama football practice fields. The Tide return nine letterwinners from last season. First year head coach Stephany Smith will lead the Tide into action on Nov. 18, when Alabama will face Washington in a non-conference matchup.
