“Dan had an outstanding freshman season last year while emerging as a starter at No. 6 in singles and being a regular fixture in our doubles line-up.  He worked exceptionally hard on and off the court last year and is reaping the rewards of his commitment. He had a breakthrough fall in doubles and I fully expect him to play at the top doubles spot while again being a major contributor for us in the singles line-up.”

Alabama Highlights:

Fall 2006:

Went 5-3 in singles and 10-3 in doubles during fall competition
Finished strong winning last four singles matches and nine of the last 10 doubles contests
Teamed with Mathieu Thibaudeau in doubles for a 10-3 record
Claimed doubles win over No. 58 Sayer and Lloyd of Radford and No. 28 Piotrs Necajeus/Arken Kuznetsov of Mississippi State
Earned five wins with Thibaudeau to advance to the finals at the ITA Southeast Regionals
Won all four matches of both singles and doubles at the Crimson Tide Fall Championships

Freshman Season (2005-06):

Second on the team with 17 singles victories and 15 doubles wins
Tallied a 7-4 record in SEC singles matches
Played 14 matches in the No. 6 slot with a 9-5 record
Put together a string of seven straight victories in singles to end the regular season     
Won four of his first five singles matches in dual meet action
Teamed with Andrew Felsenthal to go 4-4 in SEC doubles and 7-10 in dual matches
Finished the fall season with a 4-3 singles ledger and 4-4 doubles record

Prep Highlights:

2004 National Open Winner - defeated the nation’s top-ranked juniors player in the finals
Advanced to the Round of 32 at Super Nationals in Kalamazoo, Mich.
Was ranked in the top-30 in 18’s
Participated in the junior Davis Cup
Won Midwest Closed Doubles 18s
