Tide Finishes 1st Round Play at NCAA Golf Championships

OWINGS MILL, MD. - The University of Alabama has completed its first round of play at the 2005 NCAA Golf Championships. The Crimson Tide shot 291 as a team, shooting 11 over par on the par 70 course at Caves Valley Golf Club.
Mark Harrell had Alabama's low round. The freshman is at even par, 70. Clint Provost shot three over par, 73. Gator Todd and Joseph Sykora both shot four over par, 74. Thomas Hagler shot five over par, 75.
Alabama was one of 15 teams with morning tee times. The remaining 15 teams began first round play shortly after 11 a.m. CT. Complete results and standings will be available at the end of the round when all team and individual scores are in.
