The Serve: Is there anything interesting about you or hidden talents that you’d like for everyone to know about?
The Volley: I can juggle. I can juggle anything that I can grab on to. Except rackets
S: I hear you are a sports car enthusiast. Have you ever had a favorite car that you’ve ever owned or one that you always wanted?
V: The best car that I’ve ever driven is a Porsche Boxer Type S and the Honda S2000. Those are just friends cars that I’ve gotten to drive. I’d like to own any type of Ferrari.
S: Have you ever given your car a name?
V: No. I’ve never done anything like that.
S: What was the most embarrassing thing that’s happened to you on the court?
V: I’ve hit my doubles partner in the back off a serve before but that’s about it. That’s kind of funny but it’s also a little serious.
S: If you could chose one person to play doubles with, who would you chose?
V: Either of the Bryan Brothers just because they are the best men’s doubles players in the world and I could learn a lot from them.
S: You’re from Canada, did you ever play hockey growing up?
V: I played street hockey some but never competitively or anything. I played soccer though on a rec team. I took to soccer instead but then I chose tennis.
S: So what attracted you to tennis more than soccer?
V: Tennis is an individual sport. I have more control in tennis. In soccer you could be a good player but be on a bad team. In tennis you can have both, team success and individual success.
S: Favorite thing about Canada or what you miss most?
V: Just my family and friends.
