Softball Ranked Sixth in Latest USA Today/NFCA Top 25

The University of Alabama softball team has reappeared in the NFCA Top 25, checking in at sixth in the latest rankings.
The Crimson Tide jumped six spots in the poll after defeating then 12th ranked Oklahoma and the rest of the opposition at the Houston Hilton Plaza Invitational last weekend while running its record to 11-0 on the season.
Joining the Crimson Tide from the SEC in the Top 10 are Tennessee (No. 7) and LSU (No. 9). The Georgia Bulldogs at 13th and the Florida Gators at 16th round out the conference schools in the Top 25.
Alabama will be in action this weekend when the team hosts the Crimson Classic. The Tide will square off against Maryland at 4:00 followed by a match-up with Penn State at 6:30. Alabama will close out pool play on Saturday at 1:30 against Missouri.
