While The University of Alabama soccer team had spring break off, the construction crew kept right on course.
Supports for the bleachers were raised and roofs put on several buildings including the team room, press box, dugouts and storage facility.
"I couldn't wait for our first practice back from spring break for the team to see the progress that was made during the break and to get a glimpse at what the facility will look like come August," said Alabama Head Coach Don Staley. "It's amazing the amount of effort that was put in during the break to help give an outline to this fine facility. We're already starting to feel the effects of this facility in our recruiting efforts."
The Crimson Tide will open the 2004 season in its new home on Friday, August 27 when the team hosts Alabama A&M.
