Angela Johnson Named 2004 Alumni Outstanding Student Award Recipient

The University of Alabama Alumni Office has announced that Crimson Tide senior outfielder Angela Johnson along with 11 other seniors currently enrolled at the University have been named Alumni Outstanding Student Award Recipients.
These students have excelled in academics and extracurricular activities, shown strength of character and maturity and displayed exceptional hospitality toward guests and friends of the University.
Following are the criteria for the award:
Class Level – Member of the senior class
Personality – The demonstration of an exceptional spirit of friendliness and hospitality toward guests and friends of the University.
Achievement – Exceptional performance in academics and extra-curricular activities.
Character – Strength of character and maturity; sense of direction and purpose in life.
Johnson, a native of Birmingham, Alabama, currently ranks fourth on the sixth-ranked Alabama softball team (27-4) in hitting with a .325 average and is tied for the team lead in home runs with four.
The recipients were recognized and presented a plaque at the annual Alumni Weekend luncheon on Saturday, March 20, 2004. However Johnson was unable to attend the ceremony as she was traveling with the softball team in Lexington, Kentucky.
