The Alabama gymnastics team, ranked No. 4 in the preseason poll, reported back to Tuscaloosa on Sunday and began training again Monday (Dec. 27).
“We’re excited to have everyone back safe and sound and now we’re ready to get things going for the last stretch of workouts before the season gets started,” head coach Sarah Patterson said.
Monday also represented freshman Terin Humphrey’s first practice with the Crimson Tide. The two-time Olympic silver medalist spent the fall participating in the T.J. Maxx Olympic tour. She is enrolled for the spring semester and is eligible to compete right away.
The Crimson Tide opens the season Friday, Jan. 7 in Gainesville, Fla. with the Super Six Challenge. Alabama is the defending Super Six champion and will be trying to win its fourth title in the six years the meet has been in existence.
