TUSCALOOSA – The University of Alabama women’s golf team hosted a Christmas Party and golf clinic last week for the young adults that participate in the UA sponsored Crossing Points program.
The Tide linksters enjoyed some holiday treats as well as handed out some basic golf instructions to the members of the group. The event was held at the recently-opened Jerry Pate Golf Center at the Ol’ Colony Golf Complex.
“We had a great time with the group from Crossing Points,” said UA head coach Betty Palmer. “It was a lot of fun. I think our players really enjoyed getting to share some golf knowledge and also spend some time with a wonderful group of young people. We really appreciate the program directors bringing the group out to the course.”
Crossing Points, led by directors Susan Kizziah and Becky Howser, is operated out of Garland Hall on campus. The program consists of 18-21 year old students with special needs, who work and take classes at the University of Alabama.
