The University of Alabama men’s cross country team traveled to South Bend, Indiana following nearly a month of inactivity on the competitive circuit and had only four runners score of the required five athletes for the team to score.
Alex Korir (SO, 5’7, Nakuru, Kenya) paced the Crimson Tide with a 31st place finish posting a time of 24:21 on the 8k course.
Kevin McDonough (SR, 5’11, Auburn, AL) also posted a top 50 finish, claiming 49th place with a time of 24:38.
Alabama will return to action on October 11, when the team competes in the Auburn Invitational. The Tide will receive a shot in the arm with junior standout Peter Etoot (JR, 5’10, Nakuru, Kenya) joining the team following a two-meet layoff.
