TUSCALOOSA - The University of Alabama women's basketball team (10-9, 2-4 SEC) concludes its week of traveling in the Southeastern Conference with a 2:30 p.m. (ET) Sunday afternoon tilt against No. 19 Georgia (14-5, 3-3 SEC).
The Crimson Tide hopes to snap its current four-game losing skid. Alabama is also looking for its first road win in five games. UA is coming off a disappointing 76-69 loss at Florida on Thursday night that saw a late Bama charge again come up just short.
Georgia, who snapped their own three-game losing skid with an upset victory over LSU last Sunday, looks to continue their winning ways and also earn Coach Andy Landers his 600th career victory at UGA. Landers, in his 25th season at Georgia, will have to accomplish the feat without his leading scorer and rebounder Kara Braxton. Braxton is missing the game because of undisclosed medical concerns.
Following its game at Georgia, the Tide comes home for a pair of games against nationally-ranked foes. Alabama hosts No. 15 LSU on Thursday night before welcoming No. 24 Vanderbilt for a Sunday afternoon contest at Coleman Coliseum.
