Alabama's Minor Reaches Finals of UNLV Fall Invitational

The University of Alabama women's tennis team completed day two of the UNLV Fall invitational Saturday, with Alabama sophomore Melissa Minor advancing to the finals of the flight three singles draw.
In the sweltering 104-degree desert heat, Minor outlasted New Mexico's Tjasa Suvak, winning in straight sets.
"I'm impressed with the level of play out here," Alabama head coach Jenny Mainz said. "They are all very good teams. I'm happy with the level of competitiveness and willingness to work for points our players have shown here. We're moving forward in our goal for constant improvement."
Minor plays Lauren Kazarian from San Diego in the flight three finals at 9 a.m. Sunday.
