Alabama then jumed on top in the bottom of the second inning, highlighted by a leadoff solo home run from Dominique Accetturo. Courtney then walked and stole second and following a walk to Staci Ramsey, McClain hit her sixth home run of the season, a three-run shot giving Alabama a 5-3 lead.
The Rebels cut into the lead when Brooke Turner hit her fourth home run of the season but the Rebel scoring would end there.
Alabama added three more in the bottom of the fourth behind four hits including doubles from Jennifer Reach and Ramsey.
The Tide closed out the scoring in the bottom of the fifth when Courtney singled scoring Emily Currie for the final 9-4 margin.
