Tuscaloosa, Ala. – No. 18 Alabama (3-0) hosts a full weekend of Tennis with a dual match against No. 47 Georgia Tech (2-0) Friday at 6 p.m. and a double-header with Jacksonville State and No. 60 Georgia State on Sunday beginning at 9 a.m. All matches will be played at the Hank-Crisp Indoor facility.
“We are anticipating a great match with Georgia Tech on Friday night. I feel they are way under-ranked and I expect it to be a huge challenge for our guys in order for us to be successful,” Alabama head coach Billy Pate said. “They are well-coached and will come in here ready to play. Georgia Tech is definitely a team on the move in college tennis and there’s no doubt our team has the utmost respect for them.”
Five Crimson Tide players will be looking to stretch their dual match records to 4-0 against the Yellow Jackets, and junior Christian Brodersen will be looking for his 18th consecutive dual match victory.
Free pizza will be served at Friday night’s match and giveaways will also be available. Fans will also be able to follow the action with live scoring available on rolltide.com
The Tide slipped two spots to No. 18 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association latest rankings, released Wednesday.
