Sterner Appears at NCAA Woman of the Year Banquet

2003 Alabama Gymnastics team captain and NCAA Woman of the Year finalist Kristin Sterner was joined at the Indianapolis Downtown Marriott for the NCAA Woman of the Year awards banquet, by Crimson Tide head coach Sarah Patterson and University president Dr. Robert E. Witt.
Sterner, the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year, is the seventh Alabama gymnast to be invited to the banquet since the award’s inception in 1991, she is also the Tide’s third finalist, joining Meredith Willard in 1997 and Merritt Booth in 1998.
Ashley Jo Rowatt, a swimmer from Kenyon College was named the NCAA Woman of the Year at the banquet.
