Women's Cross Country Takes Second at MSU Invitational

The Alabama women's cross country team finished just behind host Mississippi State at the MSU Invitational Saturday (October 25).
The Crimson Tide ran in the 3-kilometer portion of the meet, scoring 20 points to Mississippi State's 16. Freshman Julie Hicks led the Tide with a time of 10:15.70. Freshman Tara Enebak was next, in fifth place, at 10:18.50. Rookie Elizabeth Wancowicz posted a 10:31.30, good for ninth place.
Blair Davis was the Tide's fourth finisher and Megan Carnes was fifth for Tide. Davis finished 11th overall with a 10:41.80 while Carnes was 12th at 11:02.10.
Next up for the Tide will be the Southeastern Conference Championships held November 3 in Athens, Ga.
