TUSCALOOSA - The University of Alabama women's basketball team opens practice at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday and the season is set to begin on Nov. 9 but the Crimson Tide's new season ticket plan has already started.
Fans of the Tide can see the team in 11 games at Coleman Coliseum for a cost of $40 per adult season ticket or get a group of four package for just $128. Faculty/Staff and senior citizen tickets are available for $32. With single game tickets priced at $5 for adults and $3 for children, the season ticket provides a valuable savings for fans.
This year's home schedule for the Tide features nationally-recognized programs like Virginia Tech and Houston along with Southeastern Conference foes LSU, Vanderbilt, Arkansas and in-state rival Auburn.
"We are going to put an exciting product on the floor this year," said UA head coach Rick Moody, entering his 15th season at the helm of the Crimson Tide program. "Our plan is to go back to the fast-paced style that we've played in the past. We have also put together a very attractive schedule of home games. This season is going to be fun, and with the atmosphere at our games, I believe we have one of the most affordable family entertainment opportunities around. I am encouraging and challenging fans of Alabama athletics to get on board and support this group of hard-working young women."
In addition to tickets to the games, first-time season ticket purchasers this year will receive a free Alabama T-shirt. First-time buyers will also earn a chance to win a free trip to the SEC Women's Basketball Tournament in Nashville, Tenn. Season ticket holders can also take part in a drawing to win a free bass fishing trip with Moody.
