“It’s really exciting for him and the team,” said Alabama head coach Adam Steinberg. He’s played well all year, and has come so close. He had a great weekend with two great wins. It’s a great honor, especially in the best conference in the country.
On the year, Beuque is 7-10 in dual match play, 3-6 in the SEC. In doubles competition, he is 10-6, 4-3 in the SEC.
The Crimson Tide moved up three spots to 18th in the latest Omni Hotels Collegiate Tennis Rankings. They will close out the year hosting No. 13 Auburn Saturday at 1 p.m.
