Kim Zarzour Named to Verizon Academic All-District Team

While the season is over for the University of Alabama women’s soccer team (10-7-1) their team is still being recognized.
Crimson Tide junior Kim Zarzour was named to the Verizon Academic All-District First Team, in the inaugural year of the team.
“This award is in recognition of Kim being the consummate student-athlete,” said Alabama head soccer coach Don Staley. “Kim has truly committed herself to the classroom as much as she has committed herself on the field and she gives 110% in both areas.”
Zarzour currently has a 4.00 in Communicative Disorders. She also she finished the 2001 season having set career highs in goals and points and is currently ranked ninth in assists on the Crimson Tide Top 10 list.
Zarzour is one of ten soccer players that will appear on the national ballot for the Verizon Academic All-American Women’s Soccer Team, which will be announced on February 5.
