Alabama Swimming and Diving Fourth At UGA Invitational

The Alabama Swimming and Diving teams are in fourth place on both the men and women's side after day two of the UGA Invitational being held in Athens, Ga. this weekend.
Host Georgia leads the women's side with 801.50 points. FSU is second with 643 points, followed by Penn State, 451.5, and Alabama, 344. On the men's side FSU is currently in first with 714.5 points, followed by Georgia, 666, Penn State, 489, and Alabama, 458.5.
Senior Kat Bortenlanger scored 565.75 off the one-meter board to take second place while Crystal Rassmussen took sixth with 521.75 points.
Junior Catalina Casaru swam a 4:22.75 in the 400 IM, earning third place.
Freshman Candace Weiman raced to a 55.16 in the 100 butterfly, good for fourth place while Victoria Genova was seventh at 56.38. In the 200 freestyle rookie Anna Grant took sixth with a 1:51.16. Senior Holly McCrelless also notched a seventh place finish, posting a 1:11.48 in the 100 breaststroke.
Sophomore Stewart Smith posted 545.15 points off the three-meter board to finish second while freshman JR Hillis took sixth with 473.30 points.
Sophomore Spiros Bitsakis was third in the 200 freestyle at 1:39.29. Freshman Vlad Polyakov swam to a 55.53 in the 100 breaststroke taking fourth place while senior Charles Reeves' time of 57.13 was good for seventh. Junior Brendan Ashby also finished fourth, posting a 51.96 in the 100 backstroke.
Junior Ben Worby took fifth in the 400 IM with a 4:00.31 while freshman JT Jones was eighth at 4:05.98.
