ALABAMA BATTLES #24 BYU AT TRIPLE CROWN SPORTS CLASSIC
The Crimson Tide continues its month-long road trip this weekend when Alabama meets No. 24 BYU on Saturday in the Triple Crown Sports Classic being played in Albuquerque's famous arena "The Pit". Bama's tilt with the Cougars marks the squad's first game against a nationally ranked opponent this year and is also the Tide's first television contest this season. The game is being broadcast by CSS (Comcast Sports Southeast).

*This is the first meeting between Alabama and BYU in women's basketball.
*The game features two of the nation's premier three-point shooters in Alabama's Beth Vice (42.9%, 30 of 70) and BYU's Erin Thorn (49.2%, 30 of 61).
VICE LOOKS TO SHINE ON BIRTHDAY
Alabama fifth-year senior Beth Vice will celebrate her 23rd birthday (Dec. 21) doing one of the things she loves most... playing basketball. The Tide's game with BYU marks the third straight year that Bama has played a game on her birthday. Vice has enjoyed some success on her day averaging 14.5 ppg in the previous two games. The Tide is 1-1 on her birthday. She also could join the 1,000 point club with xx pts today.

JOHNS PULLS DOUBLE DUTY
This past Monday, Bama senior Jamilah Johns had a very busy day. In the morning, Johns walked in graduation ceremonies having earned her bachelor's degree in health studies from Alabama. That evening she suited up for the Tide finishing with 16 points and a team-leading 8 rebounds in UA's victory over Illinois-Chicago.
