Alabama Gymnasts Throw Holiday Party for RISE Center Kids

The Alabama Gymnastics team hosted their annual holiday party for the children of the Stallings RISE Center.
The Crimson Tide took time out of their exam schedule to enjoy the company of the 60-plus children in attendance. This year marks the seventh year that the Tide has welcomed RISE into the practice facility. Before that, the gymnasts would go to the Stallings Center.
“This is definitely one of those things where we get as much, if not more, out of it as the children do,” head coach Sarah Patterson said. “The smile we get from this party every year lasts us through the week.”
The gymnasts leave for the holidays on Wednesday, Dec. 18 and return just before the New Year to begin final preparations for the 2003 competitive season. Alabama will host a “Meet the Team” exhibition on Sunday, January 5 at 2 p.m. in Coleman Coliseum.
