Women's Cross Country Finishes 10th at SEC Championships

The Alabama women’s cross country team finished 10th at the Southeastern Conference Championships held on the University of Florida’s Golf Course this morning.
Alabama scored 291 points. Arkansas was the meet’s low scorer taking its fifth consecutive team title with 39 points led by individual champion Christina Wurth.
Junior Virnetta Greene was the Crimson Tide’s top finisher, taking 31st with a time of 22:59.20. Freshman Nicole Abram was next for the Tide with a 24:30.17, good for 60th place. Freshman Blair Davis (64th), senior Katie Kelly (73rd) and freshman Emily Green (76th) rounded out the Tide’s scoring.
