
Mitchell Wins Four of Five Matches at Indoor Championships

South Africa native Stephen Mitchell had an impressive start, winning three singles matches and a doubles match on Friday and Saturday at the Southern Regional of the Omni Hotels National Indoor Championships in Lexington, Kentucky.
The Tide had a perfect showing in doubles on Friday, winning all three matches. Saturdays doubles matches were not completed by deadline. Pensacola native and team Captain William Boyles was pleased with the doubles performance.
“Chris (Gostek) and I had a good match today,” Boyles said. “I’m am pleased with our showing out here today. Doubles is going to be an important part of succeeding in the spring.”
Play continues in Lexington on Sunday morning.
