TUSCALOOSA - University of Alabama women's basketball coach Rick Moody announced the dates of his annual camps for the upcoming Summer 2003 season.
Moody and his staff along with the 2002-03 edition of Crimson Tide hoops are all working hard in preparation for the upcoming season. However, he is also excited and looking forward to working with the future stars at Alabama.
"We are excited to again be offering a variety of basketball camp experiences for the girls in this state and around the region," said Moody. "Our camps are an important part of our program and I look forward to seeing the level of talent that comes to our campus each summer. Many of our current and former standout players here at Alabama began their basketball careers as campers at our camp."
The Crimson Tide is offering three different camps this summer beginning with "Skills Camp" on June 8-10, then "Elite Camp" on June 11-13 and concluding with "Team Camp" from June 29-July 2.
"Skills Camp" is designed for players of all ages and skill level with a focus on developing and improving the fundamental skills of the game of basketball. "Elite Camp" was created to allow some of the region's top prep players a place to improve their overall game and compete with many of the other top players. Bama's "Team Camp" allows prep teams to get a jump start on the season by allowing them to practice and play games together in the summer.
Summer camp with the Alabama Women's Basketball team is always an exciting, fun-filled learning experience. For more information about the 2003 camps or if you have questions you can contact the UA Women's Basketball Office at 205-348-7077 or email assistant coach C.C. Moorer at cmoorer@ia.ua.edu.
