This weekend, the Crimson Tide’s NCAA Champion gymnastics team will be recognized twice during the swell of activities surrounding The University of Alabama’s 2002 Homecoming celebration.
Friday night (Oct. 18) the 2002 gymnastics squad, which won Alabama’s fourth NCAA gymnastics title, will be recognized at the pep rally that will start at 7 p.m. on the steps of the library. The gymnasts will join the Alabama football team, cheerleaders and a host of special guests in making the pep rally an affair to remember.
And Saturday morning (Oct. 19) starting at 9 a.m. in downtown Tuscaloosa and ending at the Russell Student Health Building, the gymnasts will be featured in the Homecoming parade along with the coaching staff. Former Alabama football All-American Bob Baumhower will serve as Grand Marshal of the Homecoming parade.
