Crimson Tide Softball Set to Host Fall Ball

The University of Alabama softball team will host its Fall Ball Saturday, October 12 at the UA Softball Complex. The Fall Ball is an all day, six game tournament that features the Crimson Tide, Northwest Shoals Community College, Wallace Dothan Community College and Shelton State Community College.
The tournament provides a sneek peek at the 2003 Alabama softball team. Fans will be able to see returnees such as All-Americans Jackie McClain and Ashley Courtney as well as catcher Lacy Prejean, who recently invited to try out for the US Women’s National Team.
Alabama’s heralded freshman class of Staci Ramsey, Dominique Accetturo, and Stephanie VanBrakle will also make their Tide debuts. VanBrakle is one of seventeen players selected to represent the United States as a member of the US Women’s Junior National Team.
The Tide’s first regular season action takes place January 31, 2003 in Los Angeles at the Stacey Winsberg Memorial Tournament. Alabama’s first home games of the 2003 regular season will take place February 14-16 at the Bama Bash!.

9:00 a.m. Shelton State vs. Wallace-Dothan
11:00 a.m. Shelton State vs. Northwest Shoals
1:00 p.m. Alabama vs. Northwest Shoals
3:00 p.m. Alabama vs. Wallace-Dothan
5:00 p.m. Wallace-Dothan vs. Northwest Shoals
7:00 p.m. Alabama vs. Shelton State
