Grace Barbara enters her second year as Assistant Coach for the University of Alabama.
A native of Alexandria, Va., Barbara spent two seasons as Louisville's graduate assistant coach (2016-18) as she earned her Masters Degree.
Barbara rowed collegiately for Indiana University, serving as an instrumental factor for the team as it qualified for the NCAA Championships for the first time in program history in 2014, finishing 11th overall.
Her rowing career began at T.C. Williams High School, where she was team captain for two years. Barbara medaled at the Virginia State Championships for five consecutive years, winning silver at the Stotesbury Cup and gold at the Scholastic Nationals.
Upon graduating, Barbara returned to T.C. Williams, coaching the women's 2V to a silver at Stotesbury and a bronze at the Scholastic Nationals in 2016.
