- Battled back from a Stage 4 cancer diagnosis where he was given a 20-percent chance of surviving and if he did survive it was likely he would lose a leg to amputation
- Instead, he overcame odds, and not only has he returned to competition, but he is back as one of the top throwers in the country
- Recently, he defended his individual SEC champion title in the men’s weight throw, having won the event in 2022 and 2023
- Currently ranked the No. 2 weight thrower in the nation
- 2022 NCAA Indoor weight throw champion with a final throw of 23.60m
- Has already qualified for 2023 NCAA Indoor Championships (March 10-11), where he will look to defend his national title in the weight throw
- A Five-time All-American
