NCAA Softball Tuscaloosa Regional: Game Four - Louisiana Tech Beat Albany, 8-1 in Seven Innings

TUSCALOOSA, Ala.  – The Louisiana Tech Lady Techsters (38-23) beat the Albany Great Danes (27-18) 8-1 in the first elimination game at the 2017 NCAA Softball Tuscaloosa Regional in Rhoads Stadium Saturday night.
Louisiana Tech returns to action at 1:30 p.m. CT in Sunday's first game, facing the Minnesota Golden Gophers for the right to advance to the championship series against Alabama.
The Lady Techsters scored in four of the first five innings, including a five run second stanza. The only inning that Louisiana Tech didn't score in over the first five, the fourth, Albany plated their lone run.
Preslee Gallaway picked up the win for the Lady Techsters, pushing her record to 16-13 on the season, while Celeste Verdolivo took the loss for the Great Danes, finishing her season at 8-9.
