
Cheyenne Knight, Emma Talley Earn WGCA All-America Honors

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Alabama freshman Cheyenne Knight and senior Emma Talley have been named to the 2016 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-America Team. Knight is a first team selection while Talley was named to the second team.
With her selection, Talley joins Stephanie Meadow (2011-2014) as the only four-time All-America honorees in Alabama women's golf history. Knight the sixth Alabama player to win first team All-America honors since 2006.
Knight shot a six-under par 282 to finish tied for fourth at the 2016 NCAA Women's Golf Championships this week. Her four-round total is the lowest 72-hole score in Alabama history.
Talley earned first-team WGCA honors in 2015 after becoming Alabama's first NCAA medalist at the 2015 championships at The Concession Club in Bradenton, Fla. Talley earned second-team honors as a freshman and honorable mention as a sophomore.
Alabama has won 21 WGCA All-America honors by 11 different players since 2006 under head coach Mic Potter. That list includes nine first-team selections by six different players, four second-team picks and eight honorable mentions.
