The eighth Q&A is with Hayes Brewer, a gifted senior from Atlanta, Ga. Brewer has collected 24 singles wins and 27 doubles victories in his four-year career with Alabama.
Q: What was your first visit to campus like?
A: Came for a summer ITA event playing doubles with a guy currently on the team and knew there was a strong chance I would come back a few years later.
Q: What surprised you most about Alabama?
A: The beautiful campus.
Q: What is your favorite thing about your hometown?
A: All the people there.
Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Tuscaloosa?
A: Chucks/Hokkaido.
Q: What is your favorite tennis memory?
A: Getting my head shaved freshman year with my boys.
Q: Who inspired you most in tennis?
A: Murphy Payne; my coach growing up.
Q: When did playing tennis in college become a goal for you?
A: Around age 13 I knew I wanted to play SEC tennis.
Q: What song pumps you up to play?
A: Lose Yourself Eminem.
Q: What is your favorite movie made before you were born?
A: Ace Ventura Pet Detective / Scarface.
Q: What is your favorite movie?
A: Pineapple Express.
Q: What is your dream job?
A: Something that allows me to travel the world.
Q: If you could live in a book, which book would you live in?
A: The Jungle Book.
Q: What is your favorite hobby outside of tennis?
A: Going out on the town with friends, going to concerts, traveling to new places.
Q: If you could meet any person in the world who would it be?
A: Donald Trump.
Q: If you were playing a pro circuit what grand slam would you want to win most?
A: US Open.
Q: What do you like to hear from fans when they are cheering for you?
A: Loud, Obnoxious cheering.
Q: What are some goals you look to achieve this spring season?
A: To make NCAA tournament.
Q: If you weren't playing tennis what sport would you play?
A: Golf.
Q: Who would win an arm wrestling competition on the team?
A: Me.
Q: What is your favorite holiday?
A: Christmas.
Q: If you could give one message to your fans what would it be?
A: I love you all and I love the Tide!
