Alabama Rowing Earns Two Top-20 Finishes to Open Head of the Charles

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Alabama rowing opened its weekend at the Head of the Charles with a pair of races Saturday, placing 12th in the Club 4+ and 18th in the Club 8+.
Alabama's Club 4+ was the first in a large group of crews to cross the finish line just past the 20-minute mark, finishing 12th in 20:12.426. The Tide was the eighth collegiate team to cross the line and, in a field of 59 boats, Alabama's finish places it in the top 20 percent. The Tide's Club 8+ crew placed 18th in its race with a time of 17:55.835, finishing alongside a tight pack with Villanova in 17th (17:54.867) and Temple in 19th (17:56.073).
Alabama continues competition at the Head of the Charles tomorrow in the Women's Championship 4+ at 1:02 p.m. CT.
